A pH neutral shampoo is used and itis the same shampoo (Adam's Blue) for each test. The hood is then cured for 24 hours (or longer if required by instructions) and washed repeatedly until the wax no longer beads adequately. To test durability waxes are applied to a test hood that was polished and prepped to accept the wax. Waxes are supposed to survive over a period of time and protect the underlying clear coat and paint. This is representative of a good polished paint job. The underlying panel has 94GU as of today.
